RomTrain's Sphere of Ministry and Services

RomTrain couples the principles of Jesus as cited in Matthew 25: 31 to 46 with the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-21. The following are the six-fold objectives of the ministry:


  1. Strengthening the national church through leadership development;
  2. Evangelizing and discipling unreached people groups;
  3. Alleviating human suffering
  4. Caring for the widow... orphan... and abused mothers and children;
  5. Improving the quality of human life;
  6. Augmenting and enhancing partnerships in missions


Adopt-a-Pastor Subsidy Program – Brasov, Romania

  • In partnership with local congregations, this program subsidizes the monthly stipend a local congregation is able to pay its pastor-teacher. In an economy where more than 40% of the working force is unemployed, churches are unable to meet its pastor's living wage.

El Shaddai Children's Camp – Campulung, Romania

  • Year-round children's and youth camping and conference program.

InAsMuch Ministries – Cioagirla, Romania

  • A residential home program for 'street girls,' many with emotional problems and a home for single unwed mothers with children. The ministry also carries on a wide ministry among the Rroma people of the village of Goloshei.

Project Rachel – Craivova and Satu Mare, Romania

  • The primary objective of this ministry is to encourage parents not to abandon children with physical and mental disabilities to institutional care but to care for the children in their own homes. The program offers financial assistance, physical therapist, and Christian social services.

Project School Child – Arges Judicial, Romania

  • A ministry to Rroma children to encourage and finance their elementary and secondary education; coupled with an after school remedial and tutorial program to assist youngsters with educational progress.

Pro-Lumina Blind Society – Targoviste, Romania

  • A Bible distribution, Christian literature and respite center ministry for the visually impaired; the ministry carries out an extensive conference and holistic program to hundreds of blind and near-blind individuals of Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Rroma (Gypsy) Evangelistic Movement

  • This unique ministry was borne in the hear of Romany leaders in 1998 to reach the 1.8 million Rroma people of Romania. Today, there are 100 evangelical Rroma churches with over 15 thousand baptized believers. The ministry comprises evangelism, church, planting, leadership training, children's ministries, camp program, The Jesus Film and programs of mercy and compassion.

Teaching and Study Material – Pitesti, Romania

  • An in-church teaching ministry, educating and edifying the Body of Christ to appreciate and to undertake serious Bible Study of the Word of God.

“Vesta Buna� Bible Institute – Ratbov, Romania

  • A regional Bible institute, training young men and women in the basics of Scripture. Hundreds of Romanian pastor and Christian lay workers have benefited from the BEE (Bible by Extension) module-formatted program. The school has, in recent years, introduced a lay-counseling program, Levels I and II for church leaders.
